Gladhouse Reservoir. 14/07/88; Scotland; 186 ha; 55°47'N 003°06'W. Special Protection Area EC Directive; SSSI. A large freshwater reservoir with several small islands. There is limited development of aquatic vegetation, although there are marginal areas of fen. The reservoir is a roosting site for internationally important numbers (3,440) of wintering geese.
