Overview
A complex of disjunct peatlands, raised and valley bogs and montane and coniferous forest in the Vltava River wetlands. The peat bogs are of considerable entomological and botanical interest, supporting various notable, endemic or rare species. An important breeding site for birds. Nature trails exist, although most of the site is closed to the public. Subject of a Ramsar Advisory Mission in 2001.
